About this programme:
The Sound Room is a flexible creative space available for use by our local community, located at Charnwood Arts. At Charnwood Arts, we are dedicated to fostering creativity and enhancing overall well-being through creative learning and engagement. Our goal is to provide opportunities for education, training, and personal development.
We offer access to creative tools like Logic ProX music software and Adobe Creative Suite. With these resources, you can easily create original music, edit photos, produce podcasts, videos, and soundtracks.
We use assistive technology to ensure that everyone can get involved, making our sessions accessible and educational for all skill levels. Our user-friendly software empowers individuals to craft soundtracks, soundscapes, and edit photographs, promoting IT skills development and honing listening abilities.
As well as the above software, we also have a midi keyboard, acoustic guitar, percussion instruments and a digital drum kit available to play.
General Use
Are you interested in learning how your favourite songs are crafted, from a simple idea to a fully produced track available on platforms like Spotify? If you've never stepped into a recording studio before or have limited experience with music production on a computer, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Our team will guide you through the process of producing your own music in your preferred style. You'll gain insights into various aspects, including creating bass lines, crafting drum loops, understanding song structures, exploring sampling, working with virtual instruments, and mastering mixing techniques.
Training
At Charnwood Arts, we offer training opportunities that cater to individuals or small groups, especially those in supportive roles within organizations. Our CA: Studio training program aims to empower staff with the knowledge and skills to make the most of new technology and explore the possibilities of digital media in their own work environments, often using equipment they already have.
These training sessions can be conducted on-site at your location or at Charnwood Arts, providing flexibility and convenience. The main objective of our staff training is to ensure that these newfound skills are not just learned but firmly integrated. This allows users to elevate the use of creative digital media to increase well-being, not only for today but in the future across our partner settings.
