Sketch to Print- Week 2 of 3
Join in this immersive short course set over three sessions learning how to develop sketch studies into linocut prints. We will engage with the living world of plants beginning by exploring mark-making techniques working with mixed media drawing tools on paper and visual colour collecting through printmaking to help inform an in-situ sketching morning at the nearby Rectory Wildlife Garden.
On the last session, we will produce simple layered linocut prints taken from our sketches. This is a wonderful course inspired by nature, where you’ll be shown how to develop your creativity from idea to final piece as well as building on skills and knowledge working with different mediums and techniques. Suitable for beginners.
