Hammered Ring Workshop

  • Charnwood Arts 27 Rectory Place Loughborough, England, LE11 1UW United Kingdom (map)

About Event:

Join us on this fabulous Hammered Ring Workshop, where you’ll make ONE Ring from Sterling Silver.

You'll make your ring using 1.5mm round, sterling silver. Please note that the image shows both sterling silver and copper rings, you could make your ring from copper instead, should you wish.

You’ll be guided through the whole process of making your ring by your tutor, Charlotte. The session will start with measuring your chosen finger, then you’ll learn how to calculate the length of silver needed for your ring.

You will texture your silver with hammers, and cut it to size, before shaping and refining, ready to be soldered. Once you’ve soldered and pickled your ring, there will be further refining and polishing to be done.

Your ring will be ready to wear upon leaving the workshop.

This workshop is suitable for beginners to silversmithing.

£30 per person
