The Bell Festival 2024

Schedule of Events

Friday 25th October 2024

5:30pm Dressing of the Willow Bell (Created in 2023 by Nita Rao).

5:55pm Opening address, by Councillor Julie Bradshaw MBE (Lady Mayor) and Shirley Novak (Charnwood Arts CEO).

6:00pm Ringing of All Saints Holy Trinity Bells.

6:10pm Charnwood Arts’ exhibition space open to the public.

6:45pm Charnwood Arts film montage projection.

Cookies will be served throughout the evening, with thanks to Bom Bom Patisserie.

Please check out the installation, in our art room window, created by artist Mandeep Dhadallia and community participants, which will remain in situ over the weekend.

Saturday 26th October 2024

10:00am - 2:00pm Community weaving. Help to create a giant piece of artwork outside our building.

10:00am - 3:00pm Charnwood Arts’ exhibition space open to the public.

10:00am - 3:00pm Mobile Bell Tower - have a go at bell ringing.

10:00am - 4:00pm All Saints Holy Trinity Church open to the public.

11:00am - 2:00pm Climate vigil workshop.

11:00am - 3:00pm The Old Rectory Museum open to the public.

12:00pm Handbell demonstration at All Saints Holy Trinity.

7:30pm - 9:30pm ‘Singers and Ringers’ Loughborough Male Voice Choir ‘s Autumn concert, as part of Charnwood Arts, Bell Festival. Trinity Methodist Church.

Sunday 27th October 2024

10:00am - 2:00pm Community weaving. Help to create a giant piece of artwork outside our building.

10:00am - 3:00pm Charnwood Arts’ exhibition space open to the public.

10:30am Ringing of All Saints Holy Trinity bells.

1:15pm Handbell demonstration, followed by have a go session at All Saints Holy Trinity.

3:00pm Festival close
