    Michael Arrowsmith

    Trustee

Michael joined the Board of Trustees at Charnwood Arts, in July 2023, after wanting to get more involved with the local community. He moved here in 2016 to study Systems Engineering at the University. He achieved his degree, but didn’t overly enjoy doing it, finding his real passion and happiness in his part time bar and pub work. Ascending to manager at 22, he dove into full time work after graduating, and he is now running two pubs. He is a keen amateur actor, performing in regular shows, with local theatre group the Festival Players. And now, after joining Charnwood Arts, he feels that he is now a fully fledged member of the community, looking to grow his roots even further.

His working life was spent with blue-chip companies such as Next and Tesco, working alongside the creative industries. He is keen to see the arts incorporated into the life of the local community and has seen the beneficial effects this can have. John is an admirer of Charnwood Arts and the work we do and is keen to help the organisation develop further.
