Charnwood Arts embraces community, enabling people of all ages, skills, abilities and experience to participate in the arts across all its forms and at all levels, in a variety of roles
Tom Young
Musician, sound artist
For his emerging artist project, Tom created a trio of ambient sound pieces that were composed especially to be performed at the 2021 Loughborough Mela festival.
The pieces were created after a visit to the Brahma Kumaris organisation, in which we discussed the themes they would be covering during three separate talks at the festival.
Each piece was intended to be paired with the one of themes, on which a preceding talk was given by Brahma Kumaris members. The pieces are available to listen HERE
“Special thanks to Jacqui Gallon, who helped to make this event possible for all involved, and Natalie Steele, who gave me the opportunity to create and present my art in a professional setting.”
