Charnwood Arts embraces community, enabling people of all ages, skills, abilities and experience to participate in the arts across all its forms and at all levels, in a variety of roles
Amelia Daiz
Conceptual, multidisciplinary artist
Ameila’s art practice is based around walking, taking a playful view of it contrasted against a political backdrop of protest, women's safety issues and 'daily walks'.
During her time on the programme, she led a creative walking workshop called ‘Maps to Nowhere’, and subsequently created a series of works for exhibition which reflect the outcomes from that workshop. Found objects and shared thoughts make up the basis of this series.
“My hope is that my work inspires the viewer to consider the importance of walking in their lives”.
