The Garendon High School is a secondary school for boys and girls aged between 11-14. As a Leicestershire High School, it specialises in the Key Stage 3 curriculum.

From its hilltop site, Garendon High School enjoys panoramic views of the town and the Charnwood countryside and is easily reached by public transport. The school is fully equipped for the disabled and the school's sports facilities are well known and extensively used by students and the extended community.

Garendon has a gymnasium and a sports hall with a five a side football and badminton courts; extensive playing fields and hard court area. Specialist accommodation includes a Drama Studio, Resources Centre with extensive reprographic capability, film, TV and video, Keyboard Room, Food Technology room and Fabrics and Fashion Studio. The Technology Department comprises spacious and well equipped Design, Art and Pottery Studios.
