A new international initiative from Charnwood Arts began in mid-July of 2014 when ten young visitors from Taiwan began working as interns at Charnwood Arts. This residency came about as a result of Charnwood Arts’s past work alongside curator and former Charnwood resident Professor Ming Turner.
Now living back in her native Taiwan, Professor Turner has brought a group of her students here to work at Charnwood Arts until September, learning about event management and the development of arts activities. The group is working on a variety of projects, as well as meeting and working with local artists.
Charnwood Arts CEO Kevin Ryan said: “This is the first residency of what we hope to be an on-going relationship with the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.”
