An early project making use of the discussion areas on the first Charnwood Arts website in 1999/2000. People were invited to contribute in the following way:

"Over the next few months join us in the discussion areas to create a series of characters, that will become the protagonists of our story.

Whose story? Yours of course! You can add your own 250 word contributions to our continuous narrative, which runs between Wednesday 17th of October to Thursday 17th of February.

Guidelines:

On the discussion group there are two threads. One thread to develop characters and the other to develop the story. You can add or develop a character at any time.

This is a family orientated website, so please be mindful of the content.

Please make sure that your contribution follows on from the latest online posting.

You can contribute to the story more than once, but not immediately following your own section.

On Monday 7th of February a competition for the best ending of the story will begin and this will run until the closing date of the 17th. An online vote will decide the winner.

On future occasions we will also introduce the use of hyperlinks to other websites and visual imagery.

This early invitation attracted a following of participants and also led to further linked project work involving writers and photographers on a world-wide basis.
