Summer madness overtook Charnwood Arts on a grand scale in the summer of 2002 with the biggest programme ever of arts and cultural activities for young people.

For seven weeks a co-ordinated programme of activities for children under 12 and young people between 11 - 25 took place across Loughborough and in other parts of Charnwood. This programme continued throughout the Autumn.

The two programmes for younger children were a great success with 18 workshops in the MakeIt! programme at Charnwood Museum and two week long residencies in painting and mosaic through Art in the Open!

Our (Charnwood Youth Arts Network) CYAN activities were incredibly varied ranging from Circus and Skating to Computer Games and Music and in all engaged hundreds of young people across Loughborough and surrounding areas.
