comicWORKS was a project devised by Charnwood Arts in conjunction with the Leicester Comedy Festival, then the largest comedy festival in the United Kingdom. 100's of entries were received both from local artists and cartoonists across the country in three categories:

The best single image gag.

The best whole page presentation.

The best strip cartoon.

We also produced a book of the winning entries.

Charnwood Arts has not repeated the project since but who knows we may open a cartoon gallery on the web one day!
