Absolute ID

Information

A project with the Charnwood and North West Leicestershire Drug Forum to create a poster campaign and voluntary ID card scheme for over 18s in the two districts. The campaign is aimed at both encouraging legality in the sale of alcohol and providing young people with useful, funky and recognised ID when their legal age is questioned.

The cards were launched at the Blacksmith's Arms in Wards End, Loughborough. Around 500 licensed premises, off licences and shops throughout Charnwood and North West Leicestershire were involved in the scheme. Cards were made available from police stations and libraries in Coalville, Ashby, Kegworth, Loughborough, Quorn and Syston, tourist information centres and Charnwood Borough Council offices in Loughborough.

This project was part of our Connecting Communities programme 2001 -2007
