ArtsHouse On Tour 2015!

Fri 10th July, 2015 by Charnwood Arts

ArtsHouse, Charnwood Arts's popular new centre on Loughborough's Granby Street, has had a seasonal makeover to become ArtsHouse On Tour with an exciting programme of workshops for young people, touring Charnwood villages this summer.

Running from June 27th to August 24th, ArtsHouse On Tour is now in its second season after a storming success last year and is generously supported by the Rawlins Community Trust.

It is running weekdays and weekends, visiting Sileby, Barrow on Soar, Burton on the Wolds, Beacon Hill, Quorn and Mountsorrel with a packed programme of Arts workshops to fill those summer schools-out hours.

Workshops through the Summer Holidays will include Giant Cartooning, Papier Mache, Circus Skills, African Drumming, Printing, Animation, Theatre Workshops, Raku Pottery, East Asian Paper Cutting, a Gruffalo Hunt, making Musical Instruments out of rubbish and Bugs out of pebbles.

Learn all about Life as a Stone-Age Child or stay in the 21st century to make your own home-made digital cameras out of junk with Charnwood Arts's James Chantry.

Make Raku Pottery with artist Jo Keogh or join the Woodlarks - Kate, Sue and Emma - on their "Survivalist Trail" on Beacon Hill.

Enter "The Wonderful World of Dr Seuss" in a workshop with theatre company Accidentally on Purpose Productions or hone your Circus Skills with Sally Renshaw from Bill Brookman Productions.

Create your own eco-friendly Stationery from natural materials or learn how to weave your own Hula-Hoop Bowls.

Try to discover where the Gruffalo is hiding and then dive into a magical Underwater World with Emma Fay Dawes.

This is just a taste of the exciting, multi art-form festival coming to venues all over Charnwood from now until August 24th.
