2011 AGM ONE OF THE BEST ATTENDED IN YEARS!

2011 AGM ONE OF THE BEST ATTENDED IN YEARS!

Mon 21st November, 2011 by Charnwood Arts

The 2011 Annual General Meeting took place on Monday November 21st and was very well attended by supporters, staff and trustees alike - including several prospective new Trustees. The evening went off smoothly and was ably chaired by His Worship the Mayor of Charnwood, Cllr Bernard Burr. The accounts for 2010-11 were approved and Cound and Co reappointed as our Accountants for the coming year.

But among the appointments and welcomes, there were two sad departures as the Board said goodbye to two of its hardest working members - former Chair Helen Flach and Treasurer Bob Trubshaw. We would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Helen and Bob for all their work on behalf of Charnwood Arts over the years and to wish them well for the future. We hope they will keep in touch with us and pop in from time to time for a cup of tea or a quick workshop!

Now we welcome back Jill Vincent as Chair, following her year as Mayor of Charnwood, and Lucy Phillips as Secretary. Joining them will be Jackie Edwards as our new Treasurer for what is sure to be another packed year of triumphs and challenges. Watch this space!
