Folk Day
Fri 6th May, 2011 by ArtZone
On Saturday the 7th May the storyteller Lindsey Warnes Carroll ran a storytelling and monster making session as part of Loughborough University RADAR's Folk Day event. Jemma from Charnwood Arts helped families make their own monster in response to the stories. The Odd Sock Monster of Thrussington and The Beast Of Barkby were two stories read on the day. Both were written by residents of the two villages with Lindsey a couple of years ago. Everyone was also invited to make their own Haiku poems using words from the stories.
