Trustees and Observers Required

Thu 3rd September, 2009 by Charnwood Arts

Charnwood Arts is currently recruiting new Trustees and Observers to its Management Committee. We would be particularly interested to hear from anyone who has experience in community development, legal, business, accountancy or work with young people.

Charnwood Arts is the flagship community arts and media organisation based in the Borough of Charnwood, North Leicestershire. It is a registered arts and educational charity (No. 505977). Our work encompasses most art forms (including combined arts work) and a wide range of approaches from long term community arts projects, performances, outdoor events and publications to websites, CD-ROM and video productions, school and community residencies, exhibitions and ongoing groups.

The Charnwood Arts Management Committee is made-up of eight Trustees and four Observers. Observers are individuals who have opted to sit on the Committee in a non-voting role for a period of a year or more. Often Observers go on to become Trustees. The Management Committee meets a maximum of ten times per year although this is currently under review and is likely to be reduced to 6-8 meetings per annum.

The next meeting is scheduled for 21st September 2009 from 7-9pm in Loughborough and interested parties are encouraged to attend.

If you would like to speak directly with our current Chair, Jill Vincent, or our CEO, Kevin Ryan, you can contact us on 01509 822558. Please visit our website for more information or to download a description of the role: http://www.charnwoodarts.com
