Cholmondeleys and Featherstonehaughs

The Cholmondeleys and Featherstonehaughs have been working under the directorship of Lea Anderson for 25 years. They have performed at Glastonbury, in theatres large and small, at Duckie at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern, on Vauxhall Bridge, at Tate Modern, on beaches, ferries, lifts, in a garden store, in cars, towers and in the laboratory in Anderson’s work with DNA. They also worked with Charnwood Arts in 2000 to create new youth dance performances from three local secondary schools as part of People Making Places 2000

Parthiv Shah - photographer and film maker

Parthiv collaborated with Charnwood Arts on a book and exhibition focused on the Indian diaspora which toured in India, a residency resulting in an installation at Loughborough University and the exhibition of his work on the demise of the textile production mills of Ahmedabad.

Northern Ballet Theatre

Many Spanish festivals include costumed figures known as gigantes y cabezudos, roughly, “Giants and Big-Heads”, or, in Catalan, gegants i capgrossos. The main feature of these figures is typically their papier maché head; bodies are covered in clothing matching the costume's theme.
